The R&D AI/ML Research Scientist spearheads innovative AI/ML research initiatives to develop groundbreaking technologies and software products that enhance RENFROE®’s competitive position in the insurance industry. This role relies on expertise in AI/ML algorithms, statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and specializations like NLP(LLMs) or computer vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cutting-edge research in AI/ML to create advanced algorithms tailored for insurance applications
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept models that can be translated into commercial products
- Collaborate with industry experts and academic institutions to stay at the forefront of AI/ML advancements
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the team
- Drive initiatives that contribute to patentable technologies and publications in top-tier journals
- Work closely with product development and management teams to ensure alignment of research with market needs and company strategy
Qualifications and Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field
- Strong AI/ML research background, publications. Experience in applying AI in real-world scenarios, with a focus on Azure-based environments
- Deep understanding of AI/ML algorithms, statistical methods, and Azure ML
- Research proposal experience and knowledge of the insurance industry are a plus
